It is located in a country-type suburb just 10 minutes from the city of Tequisquiapan. It is a gated community with 24/7 security that has a common area which includes a clubhouse with swimming pool. Outside the neighborhood, within the community of La Tortuga, there are all basic services, and the city is located less than 6 kilometers away. The atmosphere of the community is of Mexican families, not so much foreigners, so it is ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in this land in a more local way, having the privilege of living in one of the most touristic cities in the state.
The context is a semi-desert landscape, classic of the Bajío area; In the distance you can see the Peña de Bernal, an imposing monolith that triggers high tourism in the area.
The city is quiet, friendly, with colonial buildings. Tequisquiapan is characterized by its artisans, who make everything from small crafts to impressive vaults with perfect attention to detail.
Villa Arcadia is a Tuscan style house built with local materials and the artisanal quality that is distinguished in the area. It is basically made with hand-carved gray ashlar walls, some flattened and some others apparent. The ceilings are made up of exposed beams and bricks in the shape of a petatillo. There are typical vaults of the region. The terracotta-colored clay floors match the color of the bricks in the ceilings. The carpentry is made from solid American oak wood and has some French stained-glass windows with Art Nouveau and Art Deco motifs.
On the ground floor the house has a large living room, dining room and kitchen with another small dining room. It also has a library and a bedroom with bathroom. On the upper floor we find a study and two bedrooms that share a bathroom and dressing room.
In addition, the house has a small loft that has independent access from the surrounding street. It has a full kitchen integrated into the living room and a bedroom on the second level. There is total independence between the house and this space, making it very convenient for visits or even rentals, whether for long or short periods.
